Control Systems Integration

The ICC Approach is designed to foster open communications that ensure project expectations are understood and met, resulting in reduced project risk, consistent results, and a successful project. During the Proposal Quote Phase, we will define the Scope of Work, schedules, deliverables and pricing. The proposed system architecture will be designed along with a preliminary I/O list.

Success, by our measure, is a project that exceeds our Client’s expectations, is delivered on time & within budget!  The Project Kickoff Meeting is allows team members to:

• Define roles and responsibilities
• Review deliverables and due dates
• Establish communication guideline
• Set up Drawing & Document List
• Obtain safety requirements for the site
• Request software registration information
• Obtain P & ID’s, reference drawings, equipment data sheets & client standards
• Obtain existing or reference programs

Our Integrator Project Team assesses current system on-site.  The IPT will focus their assessment on the proposed Functional Design of the new system.  System improvements and design change recommendations will be reviewed for cost savings and overall process improvement.

The Functional Specification Report details the functionality of the system from the client’s operators and supervisors point of view.  This report is either supplied by the client or developed via a collaborative process though a series of design reviews.  Final client approval of this document will include a complete understanding of the process, finalized I/O & alarm lists and preliminary screens.

The Detailed Description explains how the system and software operate.  A detailed software description, pseudo-code or Sequence of Operation for every requirement detailed in the Functional Description is documented either supplied by ICC or the Client.

Our Acceptance Test Plan defines ensures that our hardware and software components meet or exceed all system requirements.  Test #1: The Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) includes a comprehensive and complete system staging evaluation. Test #2 The Field Acceptance Test is performed after installation if selected by the Client

The System Development phase focuses on the design of system software, hardware, and panel manufacturing.  Software Design Components can include:

• Software & Programming Specifications
• Pseudo-Code version of final program
• Graphics configuration and coding of controls

Hardware Design Components:

• Verification of existing drawings
• Development of demolition drawings & new system design schematics
• Development of wiring diagrams
• Drawings for enclosures and panels

After final client review and approval, a delivery date for panels and enclosures is established.

All system software and hardware are integrated.  Hardware and peripherals are inspected and tested and the system software is modified to function seamlessly with the hardware.

Client approval of factory testing. No system will be delivered before a comprehensive Factory Acceptance Test is completed.  The COMPLETE system is staged and examined.  Any anomalies are corrected and regression test are performed.  Test results are documented and the report is delivered to client engineering manager for review.

A comprehensive array of support Services are available.  From installation supervision to complete training programs, the same engineers who designed your system are there to assist in the start-up process!

Comprehensive support materials are provided as requested by the client  A complete set of manuals and operational documentation for normal use can be included in your packet.  You can also receive detailed start-up and maintenance guides for recovery operations, as well as design documentation of the system structure.
